SHIP CHANGES

- Ship Shield Regeneration
- Baseline Shield Regen has been increased by 40% for all ships, excluding NPCs
This thought process behind this change is to further differentiate Shields and Hull and give players a real incentive to use Shields over Hull; during testing we found that, the vast majority of the time, players would choose Hull – even on a ship that is traditionally Shield based – for a variety of reasons, those being: rare Hull upgrades drop much more frequently from Bhaede ships, Hull upgrades do not impact the energy usage of your ship meaning they’re typically easier to use and easier to fit for, lots of ammo types currently have bonus damage against Shields but there isn’t much that strictly counters Hull, and the Shield regeneration available is widely seen as quite negligible. The hope is that with this change, along with others over time, Shield’s overall strength can be brought more in line with that of Hull’s.
This change includes the Maclura, but not its Intrinsic.
